You are not your behavior. Let go of labels that identify you with your habit. Take an objective look at the situation. Avoid moral judgments. Resist defining your habits as good versus bad, or right versus wrong. Instead, you may explore whether a given choice is productive or unproductive, functional or dysfunctional, helpful or harmful. When you release negative judgments, you free up energy to make lasting change.
